Qatar continued it’s train of success preparing for the World Cup season by including a new expansion to Hamad International Airport. MASQ Squad had the pleasure of being part in such an achievement and finding the right lighting design solutions for this project.

For the food court, which was contracted by Blueprint, MASQ worked alongside with Highness and Aura group to design the lighting and supply from our wide range of manufacturers such as Linealight, LUG, Intralighting, Signify, Indelague ROXO Lighting. The concept consisted of providing a lighting installation that’s eye catching and playful all over the court, as well as arranging direct lighting in a dynamic and flowing way across the space. 

The adjacent areas to the food court, that includes the restaurants, were also designed to reflect their identities and at the same time create a coherent sense across the space. It was all professionally done following the guidelines required and upon the lux calculations results.

MASQ also collaborated with Midmac, the contractors for the duty-free areas, and supplied the lighting solutions around the stores. The design included a variety of downlights, linear lights and spot lights, where the selection was done to continue the luxurious and elegant feel across the area.
