Home Automation

Not a system that controls your home for you — a system built around how much control you actually want.

Basalte Home Automation Interface

There’s No Standard Client, So There’s No Standard System

Some people want full control of every scene, every light, every temperature setting. Others want a home that simply takes care of itself in the background, with nothing to think about. Before we specify a single device, we start by understanding which one you are — because home automation, done right, is a form of assisted living: it should match how much control or simplicity you want in your daily life, not force you into someone else’s idea of “smart.”

A common problem in this market is overpromising: providers pitch automation as effortless and seamless without aligning expectations with reality, and clients end up disappointed with a system that doesn’t fit how they actually live. MASQ starts differently: by understanding you, first.

One Interface for Everything

That philosophy shapes everything we design — lighting scenes, climate, shading, security, and entertainment, unified into one intuitive system you can manage from home or remotely, whether you want to interact with it constantly or barely notice it’s there.

Fast, Contractor-Friendly Delivery

Once we’re aligned with your electrical contractor, most systems are implemented within a week — no lengthy retrofits, no disruption to the build schedule. Speed doesn’t mean corners cut; it means a process built specifically around how construction projects actually move.

Trusted Partners, Not One-Size-Fits-All Hardware

We work with Basalte, Loxone, and Schneider Electric — selecting the right platform for your budget, aesthetic, and performance needs rather than pushing a single brand. Your system is chosen for you, not the other way around.

Once we’re coordinated with your electrical contractor & the wiring is done, most residential systems are delivered within 10 days, depending on project scope and site readiness.

Basalte, Loxone, and Schneider Electric.

Chosen project by project based on your budget, design, and how much control you want over the system.

It’s our term for automation tailored to how much control or simplicity a client wants.

From full manual control of every scene and setting, to a system that runs quietly in the background with minimal input needed.

Whether the building is newly constructed or requires renovation, our hybrid home automation system fits both.

New builds are typically wired, while existing structures use a hybrid approach (wired where possible, wireless where needed to avoid breaking, chiseling, or drilling) with systems designed around the building's electrical infrastructure in coordination with your contractor.

Either way, the result works seamlessly, and our wireless automation technology lets us install without invasive construction work.

Home automation is designed around a single residence and how its occupants want to live.

A BMS operates at a much larger scale: managing HVAC, electrical, and energy across an entire commercial building.

See our BMS page → if you’re working on a commercial or mixed-use project.
