Salwa Gate - KSA Canopy

MASQ delivered the lighting design, supply, and installation for the iconic canopy structures at the Salwa Border Crossing, a key gateway connecting Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Developed in collaboration with Khatib & Alami, the project required a flexible lighting solution capable of supporting both architectural identity and dynamic communication.

The canopy frames were designed as media façades, allowing them to display a variety of visual content including welcoming messages, national celebrations, event themes, and other digital experiences. To achieve this versatility, MASQ integrated RGBW lighting systems capable of producing a wide range of colors, scenes, and lighting effects while maintaining visual consistency across the structures.

The result is a dynamic and adaptable lighting installation that enhances the visitor experience and transforms the border crossing into a recognizable architectural landmark.
